Shopping link cleaner

Paste a product link and get it back without the tracking: campaign tags, ad click IDs, affiliate codes and search clutter. The parts that pick the product and its size or color stay.

Free, no sign-up. It runs in your browser: nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Cleaned as you paste. Nothing leaves this page.

What it removes, and what it keeps

Shopping links pick up passengers: campaign tags (utm_source and friends), ad click IDs from Google, Facebook, Microsoft and TikTok (gclid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid), affiliate-network IDs (irclickid, cjevent, awc…), email-campaign IDs, and the search that got you to the page. None of them is needed to open the product.

What stays is whatever picks the product and its variant. On Amazon that is the ten-character ASIN, so the link becomes amazon.com/dp/ASIN and the associate tag, the ref= path segment and the search clutter go. Target keeps preselect, Best Buy keeps skuId, eBay keeps var, and Shopify stores keep variant. Walmart, Etsy, Home Depot and Lowe’s have their own lists of trackers. A parameter the cleaner doesn’t recognize is left in place, because an unknown ?color= is more likely to matter than to track you.

It also unwraps links that are an envelope around the real one — Google and Facebook redirect links, and CJ, Impact, Rakuten, Awin and ShareASale tracking hops — when the store’s address is written inside them.

What it can’t do

It never fetches anything, so it can’t expand short links like amzn.to or bit.ly, and it can’t check that the cleaned link still works. Open the short link first, then paste the address from your browser. And removing an affiliate tag means the site that sent you there won’t be credited; if you want to support it, use its link as it was.

Keep the links, not the tabs

Tote keeps products from every store in one cart, shared with whoever you shop with. Paste a link and it's saved — you still buy from the store.
