Shop from the same list, together
Shopping with someone else usually means a group chat full of links, or a spreadsheet nobody updates. A shared Tote cart is one list that everybody is actually looking at.

The problem with sending links
Links in a chat are ordered by when they were sent, not by what they are. Two weeks later nobody can tell what was decided, what was bought, or whether the third sofa was better than the first — the information is all there and none of it is usable.
How sharing works
Share the cart
Any cart can produce an invitation link. Send it however you already talk to the person.
They join
They see the cart itself — the same items, the same prices, the same totals as you.
Decide who can change it
An invitation grants either view access or the ability to add and edit. You can change or revoke that later.
It stays one list
Anything anyone adds appears for everybody. There is no copy to merge.
Who this is actually for
- Couples furnishing a place, where the running total matters as much as the items.
- Families planning a trip, where four people are each responsible for different things.
- Housemates buying for a shared space and splitting what it costs.
- Anyone collecting options for a decision that has not been made yet.
Leaving, and being removed
Membership is not permanent. You can leave a cart somebody shared with you, and whoever owns a cart can remove someone or hand ownership over entirely. Nothing you added to your own carts is affected either way.
Common questions
- Can someone I share with see my other carts?
- No. An invitation is to one cart. Everything else in your Tote stays private.
- Can two people add the same thing twice?
- They can, and sometimes that is the point — two colors of the same thing is a real comparison. Anything unwanted can be removed by whoever has edit access.
